Version 2026-08-16 · NutritionCoach
You can delete your NutritionCoach account and everything stored with it at any time. There are two routes: from inside the app, which is immediate, or by email, for when you no longer have the app or cannot sign in.
Your data is erased right away and you are signed out. There is no waiting period and no recovery — deletion cannot be undone.
Write to privacy@gromdev.app from the email address you registered with, asking us to delete your account. Send it from that address if you can: it is how we confirm the request is yours. If you cannot, we will ask you for something else that establishes it, because deleting the wrong person's account is the one mistake here that cannot be repaired.
We act on verified requests within 30 days, and in practice much sooner. You will get a confirmation once it is done.
Everything we hold that is about you:
| Data | Notes |
|---|---|
| Your account and sign-in identity | Email, name, and the authentication record itself |
| Profile and goal data | Height, date of birth, sex, activity level, goal, coaching preferences |
| Weight, BMI and body measurements | The full history, not just recent entries |
| Meals, food logs and custom foods | Including favorites and recently used items |
| Workouts, daily step counts and connected sources | Including everything synced from Health Connect |
| Coaching content | Your chat with the coach, daybook entries, daily tips, insights and weekly reviews |
| Push notification registration | Device tokens are removed, so notifications stop |
An erasure record containing no personal data: a one-way hash of your user id plus a timestamp, kept for 2 years so we can prove the deletion happened if we are ever asked to. It is a one-way value we cannot use to re-identify you, and it is not linked to anything else.
For up to 24 hours we also keep a marker row carrying nothing but your now-unusable account id. It exists to stop a background job that was already running from writing new data into an account that has just been deleted, and it removes itself automatically.
Two ordinary technical remainders, neither of which is used to restore an account: encrypted database backups roll over on a 35-day window, so a copy of deleted rows sits in them until it is overwritten; and operational server logs, which contain no personal profile data, are kept for up to 30 days.
Turning Health Connect permissions off is not the same thing as deleting your data. Revoking them stops NutritionCoach reading anything new, but workouts and step counts already synced to your account stay until the account itself is deleted. Deleting your account removes them along with everything else.
